In 1990 excavations in Dholavira, India found an acient stadium with terracing and capacity for approximately 10,000 spectators. This is believed to be the oldest stadium in the world and estimated to be built in around 3000BC. The stadium was distroyed by an Earthquake in either 2800BC, 2500BC or 2000BC.
